‘Advisors are controlling Rahul’s mind’? Kiren Rijiju scolded Leader of Opposition
Kiren Rijiju Statement: BJP leader and Union Minister Kiren Rijiju fiercely targeted Rahul Gandhi. He sarcastically said that Rahul Gandhi’s mind has been hijacked by his activist advisors. Apart from this, he also expressed his views on Rahul Gandhi wearing T-shirt and also raised questions on coming to the House in casual clothes. He also said that Rahul finds it easier to talk to people who have made some concrete contribution by presenting their views in Parliament.
Apart from this, he also said that he has no personal problem with Rahul Gandhi and also told that they also talk to each other. Now after this statement of Kiren Rijiju, the debate has intensified.
‘Hijacked Rahul Gandhi’s brain’
Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju further said that Rahul Gandhi’s mind has been hijacked by his activist advisors and he now speaks only what his advisors say. He stressed that when the Bharatiya Janata Party was in opposition, it had followed certain standards and carried out vigorous protests but had never crossed its limits.
What did Rijiju say on Rahul Gandhi’s clothes?
On Rahul Gandhi’s question about casual clothes in Parliament, Rijiju said that as an opposition leader, one should behave appropriately and wearing clothes is also a part of it. The minister said that he faces difficulty in understanding the rules and etiquette. When you are the leader of the opposition you have to behave in a certain way. Wearing decent clothes is also a part of this.
Why gave the example of Somnath Chatterjee?
Kiren Rijiju gave the example of communist leader Somnath Chatterjee and said that earlier Somnath Chatterjee used to wear loose shirts and sandals. Then when he was elected Speaker of the Lok Sabha, he started coming in a polite manner so that he could look good while sitting on the chair. Similarly, the Leader of the Opposition represents the entire opposition, hence his attire should also reflect the dignity of his position.

He further said that there may be personal differences with a person but it is important to respect that position. This is the reason why many people believe that Rahul Gandhi should set a better example in his behavior as well as in his attire. He also clarified that there is no objection to wearing a T-shirt, but it does not seem appropriate for a formal environment.
