Kite flying, bike stunts and aerial firing in Pakistan are against Islam; Fatwa issued

Pakistan Kite flying and Bike Stunts Haram: Neighboring country Pakistan is known as a Muslim country. Where most of the people are Islamic fundamentalists. However, many times strange decisions or incidents taken in Pakistan become a topic of discussion across the world. In this context, a new fatwa has been issued in Pakistan. In which flying kites, riding a bike on one wheel and aerial firing have been declared un-Islamic.

According to media reports, Lahore's Darul Ifta Jamia Naimaia has issued a fatwa regarding these three activities after discussion with the police department. Citing several verses of the Quran and Hadith, the fatwa said that kite flying, riding a bike on one wheel (stunt) and aerial firing are all crimes and are prohibited according to Islam. The reason given in the fatwa is that due to these activities people's lives are in danger. In Islam, any such work is considered haram, which poses a threat to people's lives. That is why restrictions are imposed on them.

Lahore Police had released the data of people killed in the country due to kite flying, wrong riding of bikes and aerial firing. The police and the Islamic organization have warned in a fatwa that those carrying out these activities will be punished. Also, the fatwa states that doing such things is tantamount to committing suicide and doing so is haraam in Islam. Lahore's DIG Operations Faisal Kamran has confirmed the issuance of the fatwa.

According to Dawn report, DIG Operations Faisal Kamran said that hundreds of people doing such acts have been arrested. He said that 151 people who tried to ride the bike with one wheel (stunt) have been arrested. 150 cases have also been registered on charges of kite flying and 118 accused of aerial firing have been arrested and sent to jail.
