The ruckus regarding Bangladeshi cricketers in KKR is not stopping, Shiv Sena also took Shahrukh Khan into the loop.

On Thursday, Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Anand Dubey gave a strong statement directly targeting KKR owner Shahrukh Khan. Dubey said that if Shahrukh Khan decides to drop the Bangladeshi player from the team, the party will appreciate him and give him respect. However, he also warned that if Mustafizur Rahman was allowed to play in the IPL and the franchise made profits from activities related to him, the possibility of misuse of that money could not be ruled out.

Anand Dubey claimed that such earnings could be used to allegedly promote anti-India activities. He even said that this could also create a danger of “supporting terrorism”. Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson said in clear words that his party will not allow this to happen under any circumstances and does not consider this issue to be merely a matter related to cricket or entertainment, but looks at it as linked to national security and national interest.

This reaction of Shiv Sena (UBT) has come at a time when earlier Uttar Pradesh BJP leader Sangeet Som and spiritual guru Devkinandan Thakur have also given sharp statements against Shahrukh Khan and KKR on the same issue. Continuous political comments have made the atmosphere more sensitive regarding this decision. Till now, there has been no official reaction on this entire controversy either from Shahrukh Khan, nor from KKR management or IPL administration. Speculations and debates continue to grow due to the silence of the franchises and league management.

It is noteworthy that India and Bangladesh have historically had strong diplomatic, cultural and economic relations. There is a long standing partnership between the two countries regarding trade, connectivity and security cooperation. However, in recent years, there have been ups and downs in relations between the two countries due to some issues related to regional politics and security.
