Cameron Green created a stir in the mock auction, KKR made the biggest bid in IPL history and joined the team.

Ahead of the IPL 2026 mini auction to be held in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday (December 16), Star Sports conducted a special mock auction which has created a huge buzz among cricket fans and franchises. In this mock auction, a glimpse of the possible bids for the players was seen, where the highest bid was in the name of Cameron Green.

There was a fierce battle between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders for Australian all-rounder Cameron Green. Eventually, KKR acquired Green by making a huge bid of Rs 30.50 crore. According to the mock auction, if such a bid is made in the real auction too, then Green will become the most expensive player in IPL history, leaving behind Rishabh Pant (27 crores).

In this mock auction, different franchises were represented by former legendary players. Robin Uthappa for KKR, Suresh Raina for CSK, Anil Kumble for RCB, Mohammad Kaif for Delhi Capitals, Subramaniam Badrinath for Sunrisers Hyderabad, Abhinav Mukund for Mumbai Indians, Sanjay Bangar for Punjab Kings, Cheteshwar Pujara for Gujarat Titans and Aakash Chopra for Rajasthan Royals.

In the mock auction, David Miller was bought by Delhi Capitals for Rs 9.5 crore, while Sarfaraz Khan was included in their squad by Chennai Super Kings for Rs 7 crore. Lucknow Super Giants bid Rs 19 crore on Liam Livingstone, while CSK went up to Rs 18.50 crore but the last bid was won by LSG.

Apart from this, Mathisha Pathirana was bought by KKR for Rs 13 crore, Rahul Chahar was bought by CSK for Rs 10 crore and Ravi Bishnoi was bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 11.50 crore. This mock auction has made it clear that the real auction of IPL 2026 can be very exciting and full of record-breaking bids.
