The 28-year-old player has proved how important he is to the team with his excellent performance in pressure situations, hence the management has entrusted him with this new responsibility.

KKR CEO Venky Mysore expressed his happiness over this decision. He told that Rinku has been a part of the team since 2018 and due to his consistent good performance, making him vice-captain was a natural decision. Rinku will now play an important role in making the team’s strategy along with captain Ajinkya Rahane.
