Green’s bat did not work even in the second match, returned to the pavilion on 2 runs

KKR vs SRH: Cameron Green, who came to bat at number four for Kolkata against Sunrisers Hyderabad, once again proved to be a flop.

KKR vs SRH: Cameron Green’s poor performance continues in the Indian Premier League 2026. Even in his second match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Green could not live up to the expectations and was run out after scoring only 2 runs. This disappointing performance has increased the concern of both the team management and the fans.

Green was run out against Hyderabad

Cameron Green, who came to bat at number four for Kolkata against Sunrisers Hyderabad, once again proved to be a flop. Ishan Malinga was bowling the fifth over during Kolkata’s innings. Angkrish Raghuvanshi played a shot on the last ball of the over, which went straight towards the bowler. Malinga tried to stop the ball, due to which it stopped near him.

Green first made sure that he was back on the crease, but then seeing Raghuvanshi running, he decided to take a run. Raghuvanshi could not see the ball and stopped, by then Green had covered half the distance on the pitch, so he had no other option but to take runs.

The ball rolled towards the stump at the bowler’s end. Malinga ran, picked up the ball and fell on the stumps. Raghuvanshi started going back towards the pavilion as it looked like he had crossed the green, but the fourth umpire stopped him near the boundary rope. The third umpire saw that both the batsmen were in the same line on opposite sides of the pitch, so Green was given out. Raghuvanshi was extremely unhappy while returning to the dugout, but was allowed to return while a disappointed Green returned to the pavilion.

Flopped for the second consecutive match

Green was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 25.20 crore for this season. He was being seen as an important all-rounder. It was expected from him that he would strengthen KKR in the middle order and also score fast runs when needed. But his bat has been completely silent in the first two matches. In the first match against Mumbai Indians, he was out after scoring just 18 runs, and in the second match too, he was run out after scoring just 2 runs.
