New Delhi: The league matches of T20 World Cup 2026 are almost over now. Today, on September 20, the final league match will be played between Oman and Australia. However, this match does not have much importance, because both the teams are out of the race for Super-8.
Super-8 teams
A total of eight teams have reached the Super-8, which have been divided into two groups. Group 1 consists of India, Zimbabwe, West Indies, and South Africa, while Group 2 includes Pakistan, Sri Lanka, England, and New Zealand. Now, all eyes are on when India and Pakistan will clash.
Possible clash between India and Pakistan
Both India and Pakistan teams are in different groups in the Super-8, due to which they will not be able to face each other in the first round. Despite this, the question arises whether these two teams will meet in the semi-finals or the final.

If India and Pakistan reach top-2 from their respective groups, then they can play each other in the semi-finals. The first semi-final will be held on 4 March 2026 in Colombo or Kolkata and the second semi-final will be held on 5 March 2026 in Mumbai.
