As per the new rules, another LPG booking cannot be made within 25 days of receiving a gas cylinder in urban areas. The objective is to ensure the distribution of gas according to the actual requirement.
5. 45 days rule for villages
A period of 45 days has been made mandatory for booking the second cylinder in rural areas. The measure is aimed at curbing fake bookings and black market of gas.
6. Monitoring of PNG grants
In areas where PNG facilities are available, monitoring of implementation of rules related to LPG subsidy and connection is being tightened. Government’s objective is to prevent misuse of both these services.
7. Checking multiple connections to the same address
