Kolkata Rape-Murder Case: West Bengal Sealdah CBI Special Court has sentenced accused Sanjay Rai to life imprisonment till death in the case of rape and murder of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College, Kolkata. Actually, on the night of 8th and 9th August, at around 4:03 pm, accused Sanjay Rai went inside the seminar hall of RG Kar Medical College and came out at 4:32 pm. He raped and murdered the medical student in just 29 minutes. The whole of Bengal was shaken by this incident.

Sanjay's DNA matches with the evidence found on the spot
This was proved by the location of Sanjay's mobile and CCTV footage. The accused's Bluetooth was found at the spot, whose MAC ID matched with the MAC ID of his mobile's Bluetooth history. Bluetooth also automatically got connected to his mobile. Saliva from the mouth of the accused was found on the body of the victim. The victim's blood was found on Roy's jeans and shoes. Sanjay's DNA matched the evidence found at the spot.

Accused Sanjay was not sexually impotent
The five injury marks found on Sanjay's body were from 24 to 48 hours ago. This was a blunt force injury, which occurred during a rescue attempt. Footprint mapping and 3D mapping of the crime scene and forensic investigation made it clear that no other person had come there that night. Medical examination also ruled out that Sanjay was sexually impotent. Statements of 128 people were recorded who were very important in bringing the case to conclusion.
