Kriti Sanon, Kajol and Shaheer Sheikh starrer Do Patti is a problematic film focusing on domestic violence: Do Patti Movie Review

Do Patti Movie Review: Saumya and Shaili are twin sisters played by Kriti Sanon, who become orphans at a young age. They are looked after by their caretaker, whom they fondly call Maa Ji. Saumya has been diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder, and thus needs extra care and attention. Shelly finds herself unable to get any less love and attention than her sister. She spent most of her childhood away from home in hostels. She returns home after years, with the clear intention of snatching everything from her sister and this includes her new boyfriend Dhruv (Shaheer Sheikh), a minister's son who is also a professional paraglider.

How does Inspector Vidya Jyoti (Kajol) investigate a high-risk case of domestic violence involving Dhruv and his wife? Who is guilty and who is innocent? What is the significance of the title and the fact that Dhruv is a professional paraglider and his father is a powerful minister?

Do Patti: A pair of sisters love a person. Thus, the title of the film fits very well indeed. Kriti Sanon looks glamorous and is a sight to behold. Her chemistry with Shaheer Sheikh is amazing. The songs of the film are peppy and melodious. Raanjhan song is the best. While the film has everything, the fast pace of the story, the wit and the attempt to make an engaging all-quadrant film stands out and that is what filmmakers should strive for.

Do Patti is written in a meaningless manner, with many scenes that have no meaning in what the makers say at the end of the film. There is no similarity of any kind in the film. The songs are arranged very randomly. The film tries to be an emotional story, an investigation-thriller, a court-drama and a film with a strong social message, but it neither completely nor fully succeeds. Is. The film justifies the wrong verdict given by the court in the most absurd way. This is actually encouraging the complainants to prove themselves in the court and get the desired verdict. For a sensitive topic like domestic abuse, such a hasty response cannot be considered normal.
