Recently, in an interview given on Parag Tyagi’s YouTube channel, Krishna Abhishek told that his father died on 26 August 2016. This was the saddest time of his life. At that time, he was doing the show ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’ with Bharti Singh, in which he used to entertain in the style of roasting celebrities. Krishna recalled that during that time shooting of an episode was scheduled, in which Katrina Kaif was going to come as a guest. The makers of the show had already fixed their dates, so it was not possible to cancel the shooting.

Makers’ compulsion and emotional request

The show’s producer Vipul D Shah requested Krishna to shoot in very difficult conditions. He said that if the episode is not shot, the Saturday telecast will stop and the channel will have no content to air. Krishna told that this was a big conflict for him. On one hand there is deep sorrow of father’s demise and on the other hand responsibility of work.

Father’s teachings gave courage

Krishna remembered his father’s teachings while taking this difficult decision. His father was a great devotee of Lord Krishna and he was named after him. Coincidentally, he was also born on the day of Janmashtami and his father also died on the same day, at the age of 75, in his sleep. Krishna said that he had not even done his father’s ‘Terhavi’, yet he gathered courage and decided to shoot. He felt that his father always wanted him to give priority to his work and keep moving forward.

Got support from Bharti Singh

Bharti Singh fully supported Krishna in this difficult time. Krishna described her as his sister and said that Bharti handled him emotionally during the shooting. He said that during the shooting he was not able to understand how he would be able to make people laugh, but being an artiste, he fulfilled his responsibility.
