Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukherjee starrer 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' completed 26 years of its release on October 16, 2024.

To celebrate the achievement, Karan Johar shared a special video on his social media handle along with a heartfelt note. The 1998 romantic drama left an indelible mark on Indian cinema, becoming an instant success and remains one of the best-loved films in Bollywood history. On Wednesday, KJo shared a video montage showing some iconic and behind-the-scenes moments from the set.

Along with the clip, the filmmaker wrote, “Cool neck chains, neon shirts, pink head bands, summer camp with only dance, wishing for a broken star, cheating in basketball, friendship that turns into love and characters that stand the test of time and Live beyond that!!” Karan further said, “For my first film as a director. To the amazing cast and crew on set. To keep that feeling of the first day alive…even after 26 years!” Her post received love from fans and celebrities alike. 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' stars Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukherjee in lead roles, while Salman Khan makes a memorable extended cameo.

The film was very successful and won several awards, including the National Film Award for Best Popular Film. It also won eight Filmfare Awards, including Best Film, Best Director for Karan Johar, Best Actor for Shah Rukh and Best Actress for Kajol.

Rani Mukherjee, despite being a newcomer, made a significant mark with her portrayal of Tina, for which she received the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress. Shahrukh and Kajol's chemistry was truly one of the highlights in the film.
