Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab’s chief spokesperson and MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal launched a scathing attack on Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal, saying that by appointing Kanchanpreet Kaur as constituency in-charge from Tarn Taran, Badal has made it clear what kind of model he wants to bring in Punjab in 2027.

Sharp attack on Sukhbir model

He said that just as BJP talks about Gujarat model or Haryana government talks about Haryana model, similarly Sukhbir Badal is now presenting his ‘Sukhbir Model’ in Punjab, which will promote only people with criminal background.

Challenge of declaring candidates on 117 seats

Addressing a press conference at the party office on Tuesday, Dhaliwal said that if Sukhbir Singh Badal wants to present such a model under his ‘Bring Gangsters’ campaign, then he should announce his candidates on all 117 seats now, so that people can know his real thinking.

He said that Sukhbir Badal should now announce tickets to people like Jagdish Bhole from Abohar. Questioning Sukhbir Badal, he asked why he was delaying in announcing the names of people like Dera Baba Nanak?

Demand to field officers

He said that if Akali Dal wants to rub salt on the wounds of Punjab, then Sukhbir Badal should also announce the field of controversial officers like Sumedh Saini and Umranangal, who opened fire on unarmed Sikhs in Bargari, Behbal Kalan and Kotkapura.

Dhaliwal said that Sukhbir Badal should now get the list from Gurmeet Ram Rahim also so that the picture of his ‘gangster and criminal’ model can be completely clear.

Targeting Sukhbir Badal, Dhaliwal said that he should give tickets to those ‘earning sons’ who have sent money to the Badals’ house by doing scams of dry rotis of the langar of Darbar Sahib. He said that Sukhbir ji, give tickets also to those people who stole 328 forms of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and also field your chartered accountant Kohli who keeps track of your money.

Also give tickets to those old Jathedars who had given pardon to Ram Rahim on your request, so that the people of Punjab know what kind of people are included in your group.

Advice to give tickets to those who grab the land of Guru houses

Accusing the AAP MLA of grabbing the land of Guru Ghars, Sukhbir Badal should also give tickets to those disciples who have grabbed or sold the lands of Guru Ghars in Punjab. He said that the managers who sent money to the Badals by selling the lands of Amb Sahib and Anandpur Sahib should also be made candidates.
