Kulgam Encounter: An encounter is going on between security forces and terrorists in Adigam Devsar area of ​​Kulgam in Kashmir since Saturday morning. There are reports of 5 security personnel including an ASP being injured in this encounter. Who have been shifted to Srinagar for treatment. At the same time, it is feared that two-three terrorists are hiding in the area.

According to media reports, the police and army had conducted a search operation in Adigam as part of a joint operation. Meanwhile, the terrorists opened fire on them, after which the encounter started. During this time, security personnel were injured in the firing. Regarding the encounter, Kashmir Zone Police wrote in X Post on Saturday morning, “Encounter has started in Adigam Devsar area of ​​Kulgam. Police and security forces are on the job. Further information will be given later.”

Chinar Corps Indian Army wrote in its post, “Based on specific intelligence inputs, a joint operation was launched by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir today at Arigam in Kulgam. During the search, the terrorists fired indiscriminately and a shootout ensued. The operation is ongoing.”

The security personnel injured in the encounter with the terrorists were identified as ASP Mumtaz Ali Bhatti, constable Mohan Sharma, constable Sohan Kumar, constable Yoginder and Mohammad Isran. Who have been admitted to 92 Base Hospital Srinagar for treatment.
