Monalisa marriage controversy: Once again a new controversy has come to light regarding Monalisa’s marriage which went viral during Mahakumbh. Sanoj Mishra, director of the film ‘The Diary of Manipur’ has claimed that Monalisa is a minor and her actual age should be investigated. She alleged that she was married to a Muslim youth by making changes in the documents.

Reached Maheshwar and met family

Director Sanoj Mishra told in a phone conversation that he is currently in Maheshwar and is meeting Monalisa’s family. According to him, the purpose of coming there is to bring out the truth of the whole matter and to gather information about the real age of Monalisa.
Mishra says that at the time of Mahakumbh, Monalisa was around 16 years old. In such a situation, if her marriage has been arranged then there should be an impartial investigation. The director said that he wants a medical examination of Monalisa to be done so that her exact age can be ascertained. He also demanded that action should be taken against the people associated with this case under necessary sections.

Allegations were also made regarding the film

Sanoj Mishra alleged that a well-planned conspiracy was hatched to stop his film ‘The Diary of Manipur’. According to him, an entire system is propagating that the marriage of Monalisa and Farman is the result of true love, whereas the actual situation is different from this. Mishra claims that Monalisa was going from Kerala to Maheshwar with her father Jai Singh Bhosale, but suddenly she reaches the police station and her marriage is hastily arranged in a Hindu temple. He alleged that the marriage certificate was also issued at the same time. The director also said that many leaders and ministers belonging to the ruling party were present during the wedding and the entire incident was presented as a “real Kerala story”.

Film project affected

According to Sanoj Mishra, about 80 percent of the work of his film had been completed and Monalisa had an important role in it. The teaser, dubbing and trailer of the film were also ready and there was a plan to release it on around 2000 screens through Sony Pictures. However, after this controversy he says that the entire project has been affected.
