Indian Army and Police conducted search operation in Kupwara, weapons and narcotics recovered.
Injury News: Indian Army has got great success in Jammu and Kashmir. Here, a search operation was conducted in Kupwara in collaboration with the police, in which arms, ammunition and narcotics were recovered from Amrohi area of Tangdhar village. It is being told that this action was taken on special intelligence input.
In the joint operation, the Army recovered four pistols, six pistol magazines, approximately four kilograms of narcotics and other war-like items. Indian Army's Chinar Corps reiterated its commitment for terror-free Kashmir. SSP Kupwara Ghulam Jilani said that security forces have completely shut down the Hawala channel used for terrorist activities. After the closure of Hawala channel, now terrorists are using drugs in Jammu and Kashmir.
Drugs along with weapons seized
Jilani said, “To keep the machine of violence running in Kashmir, drugs including arms and ammunition are being continuously smuggled from across the border, but the security forces are also prepared to deal with this threat.” A search operation was launched to nab the terrorists in Amrohi area near the Line of Control (LOC) in Kupwara district.
The Indian Army seized drugs and weapons during the search operation. Let us tell you that earlier two residential properties of drug smugglers were confiscated in Kupwara. The police had taken action for the first time under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act in the border area Karnah.
