Kuwait Municipality has launched a major campaign to remove illegal encroachments in all six provinces of the country. After the expiry of the two-week period, the municipal teams have now come down to the ground. The main objective of this campaign is to vacate government land and maintain the beauty of the city.

This campaign has officially started from 7th July 2026. Earlier, people were given time till July 6, 2026 to correct their mistakes and remove illegal constructions. The administration has made it clear that the deadline has now ended and no further extension will be given. this entire campaign “Kuwait is More Beautiful Without Encroachments” It is being run with the slogan.

Strict action will be taken against these constructions

The municipal teams are mainly targeting encroachments on government land. This includes the following violations:

  • Green fences installed in the setback area of ​​the house
  • Diwaniyas built on footpaths and public roads
  • Construction done in public squares, corridors and service areas
  • Illegal structures built near power transformers

Along with this, a new rule is also being prepared. Now permits for carports, landscaping and temporary construction will have to be obtained and fees paid. Under the new rules, setting up tents for living or storing goods will be completely prohibited.

Kuwait Municipality spokesman Mohammed Al-Sundan said that before legal action was taken, a big campaign was launched to make people aware so that they could remove the violations themselves. At the same time, Engineer Mohammed Al-Jalawi, a member of the Central Operations team, clarified that this campaign is not to punish anyone, but its purpose is to enforce the law and protect public property.
