Kuwait Police Action: Big attack on drug smuggling in Kuwait, 10 accused arrested in 7 different cases

Kuwait’s Interior Ministry has taken a major action against narcotics. Police have arrested 10 suspects in 7 different cases. A large quantity of drugs and cash have been recovered from them. This action has been taken for the safety of the general public and to stop the illegal trade of drugs.

The Interior Ministry’s General Department for Drug Control said the arrests were part of the ministry’s anti-drug campaign. According to the police, the seized drugs were meant for smuggling and personal use.

Goods recovered in raid

Officers seized a large quantity of drugs and paraphernalia during the operation, the list of which is given below:

  • 20,000 Captagon tablets
  • 500 grams hashish
  • 84 grams of methamphetamine
  • 100 psychotropic capsules
  • 7 Lyrica Capsules
  • 28 glass tubes containing chemical liquid
  • 4 electronic scales for weighing drugs
  • Packing material and 1,940 Kuwaiti dinar cash

An incident also came to light during the arrest. One of the accused tried to run away after hitting the police vehicle, but the security forces took immediate action and caught him and brought him under control.

The ministry said that all the accused and the seized evidence have been handed over to the concerned authorities for further legal action. The government has made it clear that this campaign against drugs will be further intensified to maintain public safety.
