La Liga: Real Madrid bounces back to beat Alaves

Madridमैड्रिड:
Real Madrid had to fight back in the last minute to secure a 3-2 home win against Alaves in the seventh round of La Liga matches. Real Madrid's strong starting line-up faced few problems as they led 3-0 against an opponent who had rested most of their regular players to play against Getafe next weekend. Lucas Vazquez put Madrid ahead in the first minute after a nice pullback from Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe's fifth goal in five games doubled the lead five minutes before halftime, reports Xinhua.

Rodrygo put an end to any doubts about the final result when he scored with a low shot after cutting in from the right three minutes into the second half. Both teams then hit the post before Carlos Benavidez scored a consolation goal for the visitors in the 85th minute, but when Kike Garcia made it 3-2 a minute later, Madrid suddenly found themselves in trouble towards the end of a game in which their opponents came close to equalising on two occasions. Chidera Ezuek scored five minutes from time to give Sevilla a crucial 2-1 win at home to Valladolid, where they paid a heavy price for their victory.

The Nigerian striker decided the match with a shot from close to the post. Sevilla took the lead in the last minutes of the first half, in which neither team really managed a shot on target, after Dodi Lukebakio's shot went into the Valladolid goal off David Torres. Sevilla dominated the first 45 minutes, conceding 13 shots to their opponents, exposing the lack of effectiveness in attack from both teams.

Sevilla had a poor start to the second half, losing Saul to a serious injury, but Kike Perez equalised for the visitors after a superb performance from Mario Martin. Sevilla defender Marco was sent off in the last minute and will miss Sunday's match against Athletic Bilbao at the San Mames stadium. In the other match on Tuesday, Valencia and Osasuna drew 0-0.
