A laborer’s family won a lottery worth Rs 1.5 crore, all of them suddenly disappeared, this was revealed in the police investigation.

Punjab Lottery: The fortunes of a daily wage laborer family in Faridkot district of Punjab suddenly changed. He got the first prize of Rs 1.5 crore in Punjab State Lottery. But while there should have been joy over this huge amount, the family started living in fear and panic. There was suspicion that as soon as the news of the award spread, someone might threaten him or demand ransom. This fear forced the family to leave their home and go into hiding.

This is the whole matter

According to the information, Nasib Kaur and her husband Ram Singh, living in Saideke village, earn their living by working as laborers for their family. A few days ago, Nasib Kaur had bought a lottery ticket and while buying it, she had registered her husband Ram Singh’s mobile number. According to Raju, a shopkeeper selling lottery in the village, Ram Singh had been buying tickets for the last two years, but this time he tried his luck by buying an expensive ticket of Rs 200 and this ticket made him a millionaire.

The couple did not know about the victory

The interesting thing is that the couple themselves were not aware of this victory. Information about the result came when a lottery vendor in Sadiq town received the list of winners on December 6. Seeing Ram Singh’s number mentioned in the list, the vendor called, but the call was not picked up because Ram Singh was working as a laborer in Rajasthan at that time. Later, when he came to know that he had won Rs 1.5 crore, he immediately reached the village and asked his wife to pack her things. After this, all three suddenly left the house and went to an unknown place.

Location not made public

The villagers became worried after finding their houses closed for several days and informed the police. After police search the family was found safe. His location was not made public due to security reasons. When the officials met him, Ram Singh told that winning a huge amount made him afraid instead of happy that someone might harm him.

The police assured them of their safety and explained that there was nothing to worry about. After receiving the assurance, the family agreed to return home. Later the lottery seller took him to Chandigarh, where he deposited the winning ticket.
