IPL 2026: Lalit Modi’s shocking revelation – A team owner had done ‘black magic’

Actually, in the match played on Saturday, Sunrisers Hyderabad registered an important victory over Chennai. But after the match, instead of the game, the discussion started about a viral video and an alleged letter. A video surfaced on social media, in which a fan was seen doing some tricks with lemon in the stands. After this it was claimed that a CSK batsman was out immediately after this trick.

As soon as this video went viral, an alleged letter also spread on the internet, which was linked to the name of CSK. In this fake letter it was claimed that CSK has complained about black magic against Hyderabad. However, while giving clarification on this entire matter, former IPL Chairman Lalit Modi called this letter completely fake.

Lalit Modi posted on social media and said, ‘This time this case seems to be fake. But this has happened before, when a team owner had done this kind of thing. He further claimed that in the 2011 season, a team owner had performed a similar ‘trick’ by visiting the dressing room of the opposing team.

Modi wrote, ‘I had got solid evidence at that time and I had also informed the owners of other teams about it. In future, I will highlight such incidents and the names of the people involved in my film or TV series. His statement has further escalated the matter. However, no official evidence has yet emerged that any kind of black magic has taken place in the recent match. Cricket experts are also considering it as mere superstition and rumor on social media.

If we talk about the points table, SRH has secured the fourth position by winning three of its first six matches. Whereas CSK’s position is a bit weak and the team is in seventh place with two wins in four matches. The upcoming matches will be very important for both the teams in the race for the playoffs. Overall, this whole matter shows that in a big tournament like IPL, not only the game but also the rumors and discussions related to it spread rapidly.
