De la Fuente said that Yamal is now training completely normally and there is no problem with his fitness. He said that it was the priority of the team to keep the players safe before the final training session so that there is no problem of any kind just before the final. He called it ‘invisible training’ That means it is part of the recovery.

Won the match even after injury

Lamin Yamal already entered this World Cup with a slight hamstring injury, due to which his fitness was being monitored. He also suffered a collision in the semi-final against France, after which he was seen limping for some time. A player like Messi can never be born again – La Fuente

Now he will face Argentina captain Lionel Messi in the final. This could be 39-year-old Messi’s last World Cup final, while Yamal will appear on this big stage for the first time. Responding to a question on comparison of the two players, de la Fuente said that a player like Messi cannot be born again, but Yamal should not copy anyone.

He said, ‘Messi is one of the greatest players in football history and an example for young players. But Lamin should remain just Lamin. He has extraordinary talent and our job is to help him grow in that way.’
