Land owners of Bihar got a big shock! Nitish government changed this rule overnight

For the people who have their own land or house in Bihar, a very big and shocking news has come out from the government. If you are also thinking of getting your tenant land measured, then now you will have to spend a lot more money than before. The Revenue and Land Reforms Department of Bihar Government has drastically increased the government rates of land measurement and has implemented new rates. After this new order, the cost of land measurement, both normal and emergency, has increased significantly.

It is being argued by the government that the main objective of implementing this new system is to make the entire process of land measurement more systematic, faster and transparent. But on the other hand, the sudden increase in government fees has created panic among the general public and land holders, as it is going to put a direct and additional financial burden on their pockets.

Different fees fixed for urban and rural areas, see full list

According to the new guidelines issued by the Revenue Department, now different charges will be levied for land measurement according to urban and rural areas.

If your land falls under the urban area, then for getting the general measurement of the tenant land done there, you will have to pay a government fee of Rs 2000 per khesra. Not only this, the government has fixed the maximum fee for this at Rs 8000. On the other hand, there is some relief for people living in rural areas, but there too they will have to pay a fee of Rs 1000 per Khesra meter, whereas the maximum limit for this has been fixed at Rs 4000.

Those who get immediate measurement will lose their sweat, price reaches ₹ 16,000

If a land owner is in a hurry and wants to get his land measured immediately without standing in the queue, then he will have to opt for the Tatkal Measurement facility. But be careful, because the new rates that have been released for instant measurement are mind-blowing.

According to the new rules, for getting instant measurement done in urban areas, a huge fee of Rs 4000 per Khesra will have to be paid, and its maximum limit has been increased to Rs 16 thousand. At the same time, if we talk about rural areas, then a charge of Rs 2000 per khesra has been fixed for instant measurement, for which a maximum government fee of up to Rs 8000 may have to be paid.

Resolving and dividing land disputes will now become very expensive

Small disputes related to land keep coming up every day in rural and urban areas. Generally, getting the land measured by Amin is the most important task in processes like resolving land disputes, family division, getting mutation done or getting one’s government records corrected.

In such a situation, after this huge increase in the fees made by the government, those people who were waiting for land lawsuits or measurement for a long time will have to shell out more money. Many landholders and common citizens clearly say that this decision is going to increase the problems of the common man.

Government’s emphasis will be on online application and completely transparent system

Along with this big decision, the Revenue and Land Reforms Department has also made a special appeal to all the land owners of the state. The department says that instead of falling prey to middlemen, people should submit their applications for land measurement as per the official procedure set by the government.

Under this new system, special emphasis is now being laid on making the entire process from application to payment of fees completely online and digital. The government claims that with this digital system, people will be freed from visiting offices and they will not have to face any unnecessary hassle. However, now it remains to be seen whether the anger of the general public on this increased fees subsides or not.
