Lando Norris Laps A Lego McLaren P1 Around Silverstone

McLaren and Lego have combined forces to create a full size McLaren P1 which drives as well and Lando Norris has just lapped around the Silverstone track in the same exact car. This is as crazy as it gets.

The McLaren is completely made out of Lego except the wheels are original P1 wheels and the instrument cluster and steering wheel are also pieces from the original car. Rest everything is Lego, even the seats.

We are not sure how Lego has made this masterpiece hold up for a lap on the track but it does go about its way quite normally. The wing mirrors do vibrate a lot but it didn’t fall apart which is quite the feat. This is not the first time that we have seen a life size Lego version of a car but it certainly is the first one that we have seen drive around on a track.

Not much can be said about the chassis or the powertrain of the vehicle but we assume that it is being powered by an electric motor. Lego does not offer the full size vehicle but does offer the 1:18 McLaren P1 Technic kit.

The video is a little dramatic and needs to be taken with a pinch of salt since the original P1 was a fire breathing monster which would snap at any given moment, the Lego P1 is a quite a bit slower and also not very structurally adept to take on those sorts of speeds but we do love Legos and we do love random projects like these.

The McLaren P1 is one of the most legendary cars of the past decade. Its a part of the holy trinity which started the trend of having a hybrid hypercar which then trickled down to a lots of supercars and even regular road going cars today.
