King Kohli reaches second place in ODI rankings, ‘Ro-Ko’ dominates in top-2

ICC ODI Ranking: ICC has released the latest rankings. Indian cricket legend Virat Kohli is making waves in the ODI rankings. Kohli has made a big gain in the rankings after his strong performance in the ODI series against South Africa. Kohli has now jumped two places to reach second place. With this, Rohit Sharma continues to remain at the first position.

According to the latest ICC rankings, Virat Kohli has now reached second position with an gain of two places. He now has 773 rating points. Meanwhile, Indian captain Rohit Sharma remains at the first position with 781 points, making the ‘Ro-Ko’ duo occupy the first two positions.

Now there is a difference of only 8 rating points between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. This return of Kohli is very exciting for the fans of ODI cricket. New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell has slipped one place to third place with 766 points, while Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Zadran (764) is fourth and India’s Shubhman Gill (723) is fifth.

Bat performance in South Africa series

The reason behind this spectacular progress of Virat Kohli has been his incredible performance in the three-match ODI series played against South Africa recently. India won 2-1 in this series, in which Kohli’s contribution was decisive. Kohli showed wonders with his bat in the entire series and scored 302 runs. He demonstrated his tremendous form by scoring two consecutive brilliant centuries (135 in Ranchi and 102 in Raipur) and one quick half-century (65 in Visakhapatnam). He was also selected as ‘Player of the Series’.
