Rohit Shetty asked for Rs 20 crore from Lawrence Gang, said- ‘Earlier there was a trailer, this time the bullets will not miss’

Mumbai Bollywood filmmaker Rohit Shetty has once again been threatened with death by the Lawrence Gang. He received this threat through an audio clip. Lawrence Bishnoi Gang has taken the responsibility for this. He has demanded Rs 20 crore. This new threat comes just a few months after four rounds of bullets were fired outside his Juhu home. This alleged audio warning sent by Shubham Lonkar to Rohit Shetty’s team can be heard. Said in the audio. Let us tell you that the firing that took place at his Juhu house four months ago was just a trailer. If the demands are ignored, this time the bullets will not miss.

Rohit Shetty’s team has filed a formal criminal complaint. Crime of Mumbai Police and local administration of Juhu have activated an anti-extortion wing. Initial voice-matching analysis by investigators has revealed that the audio tape was recorded by absconding gangster Shubham Lonkar, a close associate of jailed gang leader Lawrence Bishnoi.

Shubham Lonkar is currently on the wanted list of federal agencies due to his involvement in the high-profile murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique in October 2024. Shetty was specifically told through voice recording that the earlier operational steps taken against him were only a warning.

Earlier on January 31, there was firing at his house. 5 accused involved in this case were presented in the MCOCA court. Mumbai Police had sought remand of these five accused. While seeking remand, the police told the court that the seven people (including the shooter) arrested in the case of firing at Rohit Shetty’s house are a separate group, while the five people initially arrested for bringing vehicles and weapons from Pune to Mumbai are a separate group. The court sent him to police custody till 23 February.
