Prayagraj. Today, lawyers staged a protest in front of the SDM office regarding widespread corruption in Phulpur Tehsil office and accused them of corruption by giving examples of many cases. After holding a symbolic protest for 2 hours, a memorandum was given and demanded action. Where is it mentioned in the given memorandum that the Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar are not present in the Tehsil due to which the case is not heard and later on the alleged transaction, they give the verdict sitting at home without even hearing the case.
There is no hearing under Section 80 Section 24 of the Sub District Officer for a long time and time lapses. Under Section 67, accountants and registrars do not submit reports on the legal files. Under Section 24, the demarcation proceedings drag on for years and are not even measured.
The door of the archives in Tehsil is always closed. From Tehsil to District Court and other courts, copies of records are not available in the cases nor are they inspected.
The District Magistrate is requested to take cognizance of all the problems and the attacks on the advocates and investigate the corruption prevalent in Tehsil Phulpur at your level and take action against the culprits and make arrangements for the Accountant and the employees to be present in the Tehsil and work. Otherwise the advocates will be forced to protest and agitate.
Those who submitted the memorandum included senior advocates Shamim Ahmed Dharamraj Yadav, Rajendra Yadav, Saurabh Shariq Chandrabhan Yadav, RP Yadav, Om Prakash Dubey and dozens of advocates.
