Leaked! Royal Enfield Bear 650 images surface: What to expect

Royal Enfieldhaving already launched the Guerilla 450 earlier this year, is planning to end the year on a strong note with a couple of launches slated for the upcoming months. Among these, one could be the Bear 650 – a scrambler based on the Interceptor 650 platform. Now, ahead of the model’s debut at the EICMA 2024the images of the model have been leaked. Here, let’s take a quick look at what to expect from the upcoming model.

Royal Enfield Bear 650:

Visually, the motorcycle looks quite similar to the Interceptor with Scrambler-like elements. It gets a round LED headlamp, a similar-looking fuel tank and a single piece seat. However, the tail lamp has been refreshed while the turn indicators are also redesigned and are sleeker. Notably, the bike is equipped with a 2-into-1 exhaust, as against the dual exhaust system typically seen in other models in the company’s 650cc stable.
At its heart, the Bear 650 will be powered by the same 648cc parallel-twin engine used across Royal Enfield’s 650cc lineup. The power output will likely be the same as the wall – rated at 47 hp and 52 Nm. The six-speed gearbox will also remain unchanged.Key features of the Bear 650 include a single-pod instrument console, likely to be fully digital with smartphone connectivity and USB charging. The suspension setup comprises USD front forks and dual rear shocks, optimizing it for light off-roading, complemented by spoked wheels wrapped in block-pattern tyres. For braking, it will get disc brakes on both ends with dual channel ABS.
The Bear 650 seen in the images sports a vibrant yellow and blue paint scheme, suggesting that Royal Enfield will offer funkier colour options. The pricing for the Bear 650 will likely be announced at the Motoverse in November.
