World Soil Day 2025: The five elements earth, water, fire, air and sky are important in our life. The soil present on this earth is a precious gift of life. Just as soil is important for farming, in the same way we cannot imagine living without soil. If our soil is not safe then we will be able to grow food crops, how will farmers be able to do farming. Like every year, today i.e. on 5th December, World Soil Day is being celebrated all over the world to tell about the basis and importance of soil.
We cannot save the soil just by organizing programs on this day, but it is the responsibility of every citizen to save the soil every day. Let us know about how we can protect the soil from harmful substances.
Soil conservation plan through programs
On the occasion of World Soil Day, experts and agricultural scientists believe that it is important to involve communities, schools, farmers and policy makers to save soil and inspire more and more people. Various activities can be organized such as tree plantation, soil health check camps, agricultural workshops and awareness campaigns. Along with this, using digital mediums to connect people through social media and online seminars can also prove to be effective. During this programme, efforts should also be made to find out how we can save the soil.
Taking precautions related to soil
In the program organized on World Soil Day, it is important to mention that there are safety and health precautions that can be taken while working with soil and plants. At present the soil has started losing its existence and the fertility of the soil has reduced due to the addition of harmful and chemical substances. If farmers grow any crop, its production is not as good as before. The soil is not fertilized so the product does not grow easily. Here it is mandatory to wear gloves, use mask and use clean equipment.
