‘Let New Zealand remain New Zealand’ Right wing community protested against Sikhs, said – ‘This is not India’
New Delhi. People of Sikh community were taking out a religious procession in South Auckland, New Zealand. To stop the Nagar Kirtan of the Sikhs, members of the right-wing group came forward and started protesting by dancing their traditional Maori ‘Haka’. This protest of New Zealand is becoming increasingly viral on social media. In this, people wearing blue T-shirts stood blocking the path of people of Sikh community on Great South Road and stopped them from moving forward.

According to reports, Pentecostal pastor Brian Tamaki, who heads the Destiny Church, said the protesters chanted slogans such as ‘one true God’ and ‘Jesus-Jesus’. During this demonstration in South Auckland, policemen were seen deployed between the two groups to prevent any kind of violence between the two communities.
While sharing the video of this incident, Tamaki wrote, ‘This is our land. This is our stance. Today true patriots stood firm in South Auckland. Tamaki further wrote that ‘No violence. No riot. Just my youth standing face to face and dancing the Haka. To give a clear message, people from the right-wing group said that ‘Let New Zealand remain New Zealand.’

Tamaki termed the flags of Sikh communities as terrorist flags. Tamaki said, ‘We have reminded the country of an important thing. This is New Zealand. These are our roads. This is our land. However, Tamaki did not prove his claims with evidence.
