Levy of Rs 25 crore demanded from mining businessman in Ranchi in the name of JPC

Ranchi: A levy of Rs 25 crore has been sought in the name of militant organization JPC from Sumit Chatterjee, working as Assistant Vice President (AVP) in Ambe Mining Private Limited. Sumit Chatterjee has lodged an FIR in this regard at Bariatu police station.

After this, threats are being received continuously through phone calls, WhatsApp calls, WhatsApp chat, text messages, Face Time voice calls. Death threats have been issued for not paying the levy. The sender of the message claims to be associated with the banned militant organization JPC.

Regarding the demand for levy, Sumit Chatterjee said that his company's work is mainly carried out in Latehar, Chatra, Ranchi and Palamu districts. He often visits these places for office work. The first message regarding the levy came on December 9, an FIR has been lodged in Bariatu police station regarding this.
