After this process, the share capital of LIC will increase from 632 crore shares to 1,264 crore shares.

Tremendous jump in profits: LIC breaks records

Along with the bonuses, the financial results of LIC have also been surprising. The company’s net profit has increased by 17% to Rs 12,958 crore in the third quarter of December 2025 (Q3FY26). During the same period last year it was Rs 11,056 crore. Not only profits, but premium income has also seen a huge increase. The company’s net premium income has crossed Rs 1.25 lakh crore, which shows the strong hold of LIC.

How is the mood of LIC in the stock market?

While Nifty fell by 0.86% in the stock market on Monday, LIC shares closed at Rs 798.35 with a gain of 0.66%. Although there has been a slight decline in the stock in the long run, but after this bonus announcement, experts believe that investor confidence may return once again.
