Lionel Messi’s ‘GOAT India Tour’ concludes grandly in Delhi

New Delhi: The ‘GOAT India Tour’ of one of the greatest players in the world of football, Lionel Messi, became the talk of the town due to some chaos at its inauguration, but it ended with an unforgettable event in Delhi. Thousands of fans were eager to get a glimpse of their favorite player in this event. Seeing Messi, all the spectators jumped with joy and immense enthusiasm was seen among them.

Messi’s 3-day Indian tour ends

Messi’s three-day tour began from Kolkata on Saturday. Some problems arose on the first day, but gradually the program became smooth. The same evening, Messi met Congress leader Rahul Gandhi at an event in Hyderabad. The next day, Sunday, a grand event was organized in Mumbai, which was attended by many famous faces of cricket and football. During this, Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar and famous footballer Sunil Chhetri were also present with Messi, which was a unique experience for sports lovers.

Unforgettable evening for the audience

Messi’s tour ended in Delhi on Monday. Messi was present along with his teammates Luis Suarez and Rodrigo de Paul at the event organized at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. After the end of the program, all three players left the stadium, but this evening remained memorable forever for the spectators present there. On this occasion, former great Indian footballer Bhaichung Bhutia also met Messi, Suarez, and De Paul.

Jay Shah presented jersey to Messi

On this occasion, International Cricket Council (ICC) President Jay Shah presented the jersey of the Indian cricket team to Lionel Messi. Earlier, Sachin Tendulkar had also gifted a jersey to Messi in Mumbai. Jay Shah gave jerseys to Messi as well as his teammates Luis Suarez and Rodrigo de Paul. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was also present at the program and met Messi.

Messi addressed in Spanish

During the program, Messi addressed the audience in Spanish. He said, ‘Gracias Delhi! Hasta Pronto,’ which means ‘Thank you Delhi, see you later.’ On this the stadium echoed with applause. Messi thanked everyone for the love and affection he received in India. He said that even though the visit was short, the affection he received was very special and unforgettable for him. Thus, Messi’s India tour ended with beautiful memories.
