Liverpool Out of Race as Manchester City Targets Elite Midfielder

Manchester City set their target of Joshua Kimmich, the midfielder of Bayern Munich in the January Transfer Window. Liverpool steps aside from the transfer race due to some unknown reasons, as Pep Guardiola eyes to confirm this deal as soon as possible.

Manchester City’s preparations for the January Transfer Window are still going as the team eyes to sign some midfielders to their line-up for a comeback in the remainder of the season. It has been reported that the team is eager to sign Joshua Kimmich to the line-up and also bring him to the Premier League.

On the other hand, Liverpool also had an interest in signing him which has now deteriorated. It should also be noted that the future of Kimmich with Bayern Munich remains uncertain, as his contract is now coming close to an end. His contract will expire in June, and he is yet to decide whether to continue in Bayern Munich or try out for a new challenge.

It won’t be challenging for Joshua Kimmich to go to another club if he chooses to leave Bayern Munich. His performances as a midfielder have been impressive, due to which various teams have set their eyes on him. Also, he is suitable for two positions which include central defensive midfielder and right back, making him one of the top choices for all the teams.

Pep Guardiola is interested in signing the midfielder as they have also worked together when Guardiola was in Bayern during the 2015-16 season. But Bayern Munich is also not looking forward to letting the midfielder go, which could lead to a contract extension.
