Lizelle Lee violated WPL code of conduct, fined heavily

Vadodara: Delhi Capitals wicketkeeper Lizelle Lee was on Wednesday fined 10 per cent of her match fee and one demerit point for violating the WPL code of conduct during the match against Mumbai Indians.

The WPL issued a notice saying, “Lee has admitted a Level 1 offense under Section 2.2 of the Code of Conduct, which relates to disrespect to cricket equipment during a match.” For this, the decision of the match referee is final and universal.” This incident happened in the 11th over of Delhi’s innings when Lee was declared stumped out on the score of 46 after the review by the third umpire.

Unhappy with the decision, Lee later said at the awards ceremony, “The wicketkeeper did a good job but that’s all I have to say about it.” Delhi defeated Mumbai Indians by seven wickets in the match.
