Barber Delhi:- Cold continues to wreak havoc across North India including NCR. The effect of snowfall on the mountains is visible in the plains as well. There is a possibility of heavy rain in many districts of West UP. As soon as the day broke on Monday, drizzle of rain was seen. Also, if we talk about temperature, it fell by 4 degrees Celsius in Delhi. Due to which people were forced to remain confined to their homes. Meteorologists predict that the havoc of cold will increase further in the coming days. Besides, the possibility of heavy rain and hailstorm is also being expressed.

According to the Meteorological Department, if we talk about Delhi NCR and West UP, in many districts the mercury was recorded up to 3 degrees Celsius last night. In the north-western part of the state, the mercury may fall further by two degrees in the next 48 hours. Talking about Wednesday night, Bulandshahr was the coldest city in the state, the minimum temperature here reached 4.0 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature was 6.0 degrees Celsius in Kanpur, 6.1 in Meerut, 6.4 in Muzaffarnagar and 9.2 degrees Celsius in the capital Lucknow. Whereas in Meerut, the largest district of West UP, the night temperature has been recorded only 4 degrees.

In UP today Thursday, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Bijnor, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Bahraich, Shravasti, Gonda, Balrampur, Basti, Siddharthnagar, Gorakhpur, Maharajganj, Kushinagar and Dense fog may be visible in Deoria. Not only this, there are also possibilities of heavy rain in the next one or two days. After which the mercury may drop by 2 degrees. Not only this, if we talk about pollution level, the amount of pollution in the air of Noida and Ghaziabad has crossed 400, which falls in the very serious category.
Continuous decline in temperature
According to the India Meteorological Department, due to the cold wave in Punjab and Haryana, the temperature is continuously falling. Meanwhile, the temperature in Chandigarh was recorded at 0.8 degrees. Whereas in Adampur area of Punjab the mercury came down to 1.8 degrees. Along with this, dense fog is also being seen in Punjab. During this period, visibility of 100 meters was recorded in Amritsar, Bathinda, Ludhiana, Barnala and Tarn Taran.
