Actor Ram Kapoor, a contestant on Lock Upp Season 2, expressed anger at the show’s makers over the ongoing food-related chaos inside the house and said he wants to quit the show altogether. Kapoor said he was not prepared for the intensity of the game and the strict rules attached to it, adding that he would rather go home than continue under the current conditions.
The outburst comes amid growing frustration among contestants over food arrangements, with fellow contestant Sunita Ahuja also recently voicing similar concerns about inadequate meals despite a weekly budget provided to the house.
Host Riteish Deshmukh stepped in to calm Kapoor down, reminding him of his positive energy and urging him to stay focused on the competition. Deshmukh also explained that contestants need to manage their weekly budget more carefully and avoid spending on unnecessary or extra meals, which he said was contributing to the shortage being felt inside the house.
Lock Upp Season 2 premiered on June 27 on Netflix and is hosted by Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh. The season has already seen its first eviction along with the wildcard entry of Shilpa Shinde, and the recurring food-related tension among contestants appears to be emerging as one of the season’s key storylines. It remains to be seen whether Kapoor follows through on his decision or whether Deshmukh’s intervention convinces him to continue.
