Lohardagah Congress MP Sukhdev Bhagat met Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram in New Delhi. During this, many issues like focusing on social and economic development of tribals living in Lohardaga parliamentary constituency, education, health and preservation of cultural heritage were discussed.

There is a need to pay special attention in the field of education. Provision of hostels for tribal students, establishment of Eklavya Model Residential School should be done in many other places. Provide timely educational assistance to girl students through Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme so that tribal students can pursue higher education. For the upliftment of tribals, special contribution should be made in skill development, income generation and promotion of small industries under Self Help Groups and Prime Minister Tribal Development Mission. Special work should be done to improve the health of tribal communities through Forest Rights Act, Suposhan Bharat Abhiyan. Special attention should be given to education, health and agricultural development of the people of primitive tribal groups. Demanded to do special work to save the culture of tribals and empower them. The Minister gave information to MP Sukhdev Bhagat about the schemes being run in the interest of tribals and assured to speed it up.
