Lohia World Space has its eyes on the cremation ground, the contractor accused of breaking the pillar under construction in the cremation ground.

Moradabad :- Land mafia keeping an eye on the crematorium land in Pakbada Nagar Panchayat of Moradabad. An attempt was made to stop the cremation ground construction work. The employee of Lohia World Space, adjacent to the cremation ground, threatened to stop the construction. If the work is not stopped, the contractor has accused him of breaking the pillar buried in the cremation ground. The contractor made a video of it and made it viral on social media. There is also a stone on the ground of the cremation ground indicating that it was an old cremation ground for years. Despite this, the people of Lohia World Space say that this land is theirs. However, the work has started again under the supervision of local people.

A society is being established in Pakbada by Lohia World Space. About two years ago, a grand Katha program of Pandit Dhirendra Shastri was also organized on the land of this society. Adjacent to the wall of this society is the cremation ground of Gram Sabha of Pakbada Nagar Panchayat. This land has been lying vacant for many years. Following the demand of the local people, construction work was being done by the administration on the cremation ground land. The contract for the construction of the cremation ground was given to MM Contractor. The contractor was installing pillars by digging pits all around the cremation ground. The contractor says that in the meantime, a person named Omkar Singh, who works in Lohia World Space, received calls several times asking him to stop the construction work, this land is ours. We did not stop the construction work because we have government orders. Meanwhile, more than a dozen pillars which were installed on May 15 have all been broken. The contractor made a video of the broken pillar and made it viral on social media. The contractor says that a complaint was also made to the EO of Pakbada Gram Panchayat, but no action has been taken on that complaint from his side. Now the construction work of the cremation ground has been started again under the supervision of the local people.

Why are crematoriums being constructed:-

At present there is no permanent cremation ground available in Nagar Panchayat Pakbada, Tehsil Sadar, District Moradabad. As per the ancient tradition, the residents of Nagar Panchayat are cremated on the banks of river Gagan and Lokoshed, which is about 10 km away from Pakbada. Due to this, all the Nagar Panchayat residents have to face immense inconvenience. It is extremely difficult especially during the rainy season. Near the Nagar Pantayat area, the site of an ancient cremation ground was seen at the following gata numbers whose gata number was 105k-0.045 ha, gata number 1120-0.065 hectare, mata number 108k-0.340 hectare, gata number 116-0.057 hectare, gata number 135-0.328 hectare, gata number 386. -0.781 hectares We got the said place cleaned with the help of Nagar Panchayat residents. The earlier four pillars and pillars were visible on this land. This makes it clear that earlier the said place existed as a cremation ground. Therefore, a demand was made to the administration to re-construct the cremation ground on the said plots.
