Lok Sabha Speaker’s big decision: Merger of rebel MPs of Uddhav group approved, separate seats for rebel TMC MPs

New Delhi. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Saturday approved the merger of six rebel MPs from Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) into the Shiv Sena led by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. After this decision, the strength of Shinde faction’s Shiv Sena has increased in the Lok Sabha. Along with this, 20 rebel MPs of Trinamool Congress (TMC) have also been allowed to sit separately in the House. These MPs have joined the Nationalist Citizens Party of India (NCPI).

Shiv Sena’s strength increased in Lok Sabha

According to official sources, after the merger of six MPs, the number of Shiv Sena MPs in the Lok Sabha has increased from seven to 13. This decision will further strengthen the party’s parliamentary position in the House.

20 rebel TMC MPs will sit separately

According to sources, 20 MPs who left Trinamool Congress and joined NCPI have got permission to sit in the Lok Sabha separately from their parent party. However, the demand of these MPs that they be given official recognition as NCPI MPs is still pending. No final decision has been taken yet in this regard.

After this decision of the Lok Sabha Speaker, the discussion regarding political equations within the Parliament has intensified.
