Lokesh Kanagaraj shared a picture with Thalapathy Vijay on completion of 1 year of the film 'Leo'.

mumbaiMumbai: It's been a year since Thalapathy Vijay starrer 'Leo' released in theatres. On the occasion of the film's first anniversary, director Lokesh Kanagaraj shared a picture of himself with his ex Thalapathy Vijay and also wrote a special note. The note read, “Lots of learning, lots of memories, lots of exciting moments. A film that will always be close to my heart, #Leo. Love @actorvijay na so much for making it possible. My best for this film I will always be grateful to all the people and viewers who put in the blood and sweat for #1YearOfLeo.” Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, 'Leo' also stars Sanjay Dutt, Trisha Krishnan and Arjun Sarja. 'Leo' marks a reunion between Vijay and Kanagaraj after the 2021 blockbuster 'Master'.

To make the release a grand event, Seven Screen Studios Productions had filed a petition before the Madras High Court, requesting permission to screen the film at 4 am in theaters across Tamil Nadu on the day of its release. However, the court refrained from passing orders regarding the request for 4 am show. The film has received an overwhelming response from fans.

Apart from this, Thalapathy Vijay's new film is with director H Vinoth. The project has been titled 'Thalapathy69' and will be released in theaters in October 2025 in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Anirudh Ravichander has come on board to compose the music for this film.
