‘Loot engine’ is running at full speed in MP’s ‘double engine’ government: Congress’s taunt on Mohan Yadav

New Delhi. Congress on Tuesday taunted Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and his family over land purchase-related allegations that the ‘engine of loot’ is running at full speed in the ‘double engine’ government of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the state. Party General Secretary Jairam Ramesh also claimed that State Chief Minister Mohan Yadav himself is the mastermind of this loot.

Ramesh posted on ‘X’, “Under the ‘double engine’ government of BJP in Madhya Pradesh, the ‘engine of loot’ is running at full speed. Chief Minister of the state Mohan Yadav himself remains the mastermind of this loot.” He claimed, “It is also being discussed that the Agriculture Minister who has moved from Madhya Pradesh to the Center has got the “news farming” done against the Chief Minister! It seems like the infighting is about the chair and sharing in the loot.”

A report published in the English daily ‘Indian Express’ claimed that after Yadav became the Chief Minister in December 2023, his family purchased 137 plots of land covering about 168 acres in Ujjain. It is alleged that these plots have been purchased in specific areas where new roads, highways and infrastructure work is in progress or is proposed. At present there has been no reaction from the Chief Minister on these allegations.
