• Do not eat grains

• Do not consume meat, alcohol and Tamasic food

Devshayani Ekadashi On this day one should completely stay away from meat, fish, egg, alcohol and other tamasic food. Satvik food and devotion to Lord Vishnu are considered best on this day.

• Do not pluck basil leaves
