How much will your salary increase?
The biggest question in the mind of every employee is how much will the salary increase. All this will depend on the ‘Fitment Factor’. While employee organizations are demanding a fitment factor of 3.15, experts believe that it can be more than 2.50. However, the exact increase in salary will be known only when the government finalizes the fitment factor, which may take about a year.
What is the demand regarding arrears and DA?
Employees and pensioners organizations want that the recommendations of the 8th Pay Commission should be implemented from January 1, 2026. At present, Dearness Allowance (DA) has reached 58 percent and there is a demand that it should be merged into Basic Pay. Since the tenure of the 7th Pay Commission has ended on December 31, 2025, it is believed that the arrears will be received from January 1, 2026 only. However, the government order is still awaited for official announcement.
