LPG cylinder has once again become expensive in Delhi. The price of domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi has been increased by Rs 29. Now the price of a 14.2 kg cylinder has increased from Rs 913 to Rs 942.
The new rates are effective from Sunday. This is the second time in three months that the price of LPG has been increased. Even in March, LPG prices were increased by Rs 60. According to oil companies, there was still a loss of about Rs 700 on each cylinder, hence a partial increase has been made.

Why did the price increase?
Due to the war between America and Iran in West Asia, gas supply across the world has been affected. India is facing difficulty in importing LPG, due to which the prices have increased. The government has also increased the prices of petrol, diesel and aviation turbine fuel.
What has become expensive?
The price of commercial LPG cylinders used in hotels and restaurants has increased even more. It has been increased several times by Rs 42 in June, May and also in March-April.

People suffering due to inflation
With the increase in the price of LPG, all fuels are becoming expensive across the country. Since May till now, the prices of petrol and diesel have increased by a total of Rs 7.50 per liter. At the same time, the price of CNG has also increased by about Rs 6 per kg. All these increases have happened due to increase in the prices of crude oil and energy in the international market.
Oil companies claim – still in loss
Despite increasing the prices, government oil companies are facing huge losses. It is claimed that there is a loss of about Rs 11 per liter on selling petrol. There is a loss of Rs 33.60 per liter on diesel. Companies are being careful in increasing prices keeping in mind the inflation and the pockets of common people, but the losses are so high that they are finding it difficult. Right now common people have to spend more money for everything like petrol, diesel, LPG and CNG.
