Big change in LPG gas cylinder booking, Aadhaar verification mandatory on booking from another number, know what is the new rule

LPG Booking New Rule: An important news has come out for LPG gas consumers. Rajasthan government has recently decided to make changes in the gas booking system. Now in the state, if any consumer makes gas booking from a mobile number other than the registered mobile number, then Aadhaar verification has been made mandatory for him. This decision has been taken to stop fraud and rigging in gas booking in the state.
There is no shortage of LPG gas in the state
In fact, a meeting was held in the Secretariat on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary V. Srinivas. While giving instructions in the meeting, the Chief Secretary said that there is no shortage of LPG, petrol and diesel in the state and they are available in sufficient quantity. He made it clear that rumors of shortage of LPG cylinders will not be tolerated in any way. In the meeting, the Chief Secretary while giving instructions to all the district collectors said that many types of misleading news are being spread on social media regarding the shortage of gas cylinders. All collectors should keep an eye on such rumors and take appropriate action.
Booking process will be online-OTP based
In the meeting held, it has been decided to make the LPG booking process completely online and OTP based. Earlier consumers used to book gas from someone else’s mobile number without any proof or Aadhaar verification, but this decision of the government has completely changed this system. Now, if booking a gas cylinder from a number other than the registered mobile number, the consumer will have to provide his identity through his Aadhaar. The government believes that this decision will stop fake booking and black marketing of gas cylinders in the state, so that gas cylinders can reach the needy people on time.
Collector will keep an eye on black marketing and hoarding
Chief Secretary V. Srinivas has instructed the collectors to keep a close watch on black marketing and hoarding of LPG as well as its misuse in all the districts of the state. He has asked to register FIR immediately and take strict action in such cases. Apart from this, collectors as well as district administration, police and nodal officers of oil-gas companies have been asked to work together, so that the common people do not face any problem with LPG gas.

Complain on these numbers
Complaints related to LPG gas will be resolved within 24 hours. For this, 24×7 control room and helpline numbers 14435, 112 and 181 have been issued by the state government. Complaints received on these numbers will be resolved as soon as possible. Ambarish Kumar, Government Secretary, Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, said that the teams are continuously engaged in investigation and appropriate action is being taken against black marketing without any delay.
