Waiting Period Increased to 25 Days, Petrol-Diesel Supply Stable in India

According to government sources, this decision has been taken to stop hoarding and ensure equal supply of gas to all consumers.

Many times some people book cylinders more quickly than necessary, which causes problems to other consumers. An attempt has been made to reduce this problem with the new system. Meanwhile, the government has also clarified the situation regarding the prices of petrol and diesel.

What did the government say about the prices of petrol and diesel?

  • According to sources, until the international market price of crude oil There is no possibility of major change in the prices of petrol and diesel unless it goes above $130 per barrel.
  • At present it is estimated that the price of crude oil may remain around $100 per barrel.
  • The government has also clarified that there is no shortage of petrol or diesel at any petrol pump in the country and the fuel supply is completely normal and adequate.
  • Keeping energy security in mind, India has increased the supply of crude oil through routes other than the Strait of Hormuz, so that if for some reason there is an obstruction in that route, the country’s fuel supply is not affected.
  • Apart from this, the government has also given assurance regarding aviation fuel i.e. Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF).
  • According to officials, India has sufficient stock of ATF and the country itself produces and exports it, so there is no possibility of its shortage.
  • Sources say that amidst the current global energy situation, India’s position is better than many other countries. Many countries are contacting India to know how much fuel stock and supply system it has.
