LPG Gas Booking New Rule : … then your gas booking will be cancelled; Know the new rules
LPG Gas Booking New Rule: An important notice has come out for the consumers using domestic gas cylinders. Gas agencies have started implementing new rules to streamline gas distribution system and control unnecessary bookings. Now, if the customer does not accept the delivery within a certain period of time after booking the cylinder, their booking will be canceled directly. So millions of customers need to understand this change.
As per the new rules, the customer must accept the delivery within 10 days of booking the gas cylinder. If the cylinder is not taken within this period, the respective booking will be canceled automatically. After that the customer has to book again. The implementation of this rule has started in many areas, and the main reason behind this is said to be the increasing stress on the gas supply chain. In the past, fearing that there will be a shortage of cylinders, many people had started booking in advance even though there was no need. Therefore, customers who actually needed it were facing difficulties in getting cylinders on time. LPG Gas Booking New Rule
Gas agencies often faced problems such as customers not being at home after taking the cylinders for delivery, not taking the cylinders or requesting to postpone the delivery. This was putting extra burden on delivery staff, transport system and fuel costs. At times the cylinder had to be brought back to the agency. In this background, a limit of 10 days has been fixed to make the distribution system more efficient. A clear message is being given by the agencies that customers should not ignore the delivery after booking.
However, if the supply is delayed by the gas agency itself, no action will be taken against the customer. That is, if the delivery is not on time, the booking will not be cancelled. This rule is applicable only if the customer does not accept the delivery. LPG Gas Booking New Rule
According to gas agencies, earlier there were about 1,000 bookings per day on an average. But due to a sudden surge of fear, this figure has gone up to 3,500. Due to this, there has been a huge pressure on the supply system and it has become difficult to deliver on time. It will now be important for customers to book cylinders only when they need them, monitor phone calls and messages after booking, and be available at home at the time of delivery. Otherwise re-booking and additional wait may be required.
