New Gas Cylinder Booking Rate: New prices of domestic and commercial LPG cylinders have been released across the country today i.e. 18th May 2026. Amidst the continuously rising prices of petrol, diesel and CNG, it is a matter of relief for the common people that the prices of domestic LPG cylinders have been kept stable for the time being. However, on the other hand, the rising prices of commercial LPG cylinders have increased the problems of those running hotels, dhabas and restaurants.

Crude oil prices remain at a high level in the international market. Despite this, oil companies have given relief to domestic consumers for the time being and there has been no change in the prices of 14.2 kg domestic gas cylinders. At the same time, the price of 19 kg commercial cylinder has crossed ₹ 3,000 in many cities, due to which the expenses of small businessmen have increased significantly.

There is no change in the price of domestic LPG cylinder

According to the new rates released by Indian Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs), the prices of domestic LPG cylinders remain the same as before. In Delhi, a 14.2 kg domestic cylinder is available for ₹913.

However, due to taxes and transportation costs, there is a slight difference in prices in different cities of the country. Common families have definitely got some relief due to the stable prices of domestic gas, because inflation has been continuously increasing for some time.

Commercial gas cylinder increased expenses

There has been a huge increase in the prices of commercial LPG cylinders as compared to domestic cylinders. The price of a 19 kg commercial cylinder has reached above ₹ 3,000 in many cities.

In the beginning of May, there was a big increase in the price of commercial cylinder by about ₹ 993. After this, the cost of people associated with hotel, restaurant, dhaba and food business has increased significantly. Traders say that due to cost of gas, the prices of food items may also have to be increased.

Latest rates of LPG cylinder in big cities of the country

5 kg small cylinder also becomes expensive

There may have been no change in the prices of domestic 14.2 kg cylinders, but there has been a big jump in the prices of smaller 5 kg FTL (Free Trade LPG) cylinders in recent times.

In Delhi-NCR, this cylinder was earlier available for ₹ 549, which has now increased to ₹ 810.50. Its biggest impact has been on those people who live in small rooms, such as students, migrant laborers and employees living alone.
