LPG Subsidy New Rule: ‘These’ citizens will not get gas subsidy! Money will stop coming to the bank account; See the new rules
LPG Subsidy New Rule: The country is already facing major problems with regard to gas cylinders. Those who have a valid gas connection, are still able to get cylinders within the prescribed time frame; But for those who do not have connections and who usually buy cylinders from black market sellers, it is now completely impossible to get cylinders. When they get a cylinder, it is usually double or even quadruple the price. Many new rules have also been implemented regarding the subsidy provided with gas cylinders. According to a new report that came out recently, the subsidy received by a large number of people is going to be completely stopped. This will be enforced from the month of June. Exactly whose subsidy is going to stop? Let us know in detail why the subsidy amount will not be deposited in their account.
What is the new rule?
As per the new government regulation, gas cylinder consumers are now required to complete e-KYC to avail their subsidy. Customers who fail to complete their e-KYC will have their subsidy withheld. The deadline for completing the e-KYC process is June 30.
Who will not get subsidy?
Customers whose gas accounts are not linked to their Aadhaar card will not get the subsidy. Moreover, as e-KYC is required to be completed by June 30, customers whose e-KYC profile is incomplete will also be ineligible for the subsidy.
How to complete e-KYC?
To do e-KYC, first open gas connection app like ‘IndianOil One’ or ‘HP Pay’ on your mobile phone. After logging into the app, click on the ‘Re-KYC’ option. Then, scan your face using your mobile camera. After doing so, UIDAI will verify your identity by verifying your facial features; This will complete your e-KYC process instantly without any paperwork or hassle.
What to do if e-KYC cannot be done online?
If you are unable to complete e-KYC online, visit your nearest gas distributor or gas agency. Make sure to carry your Aadhaar card, gas connection passbook and mobile phone with you at this time. The staff at the agency will then take your fingerprints and your e-KYC will be completed instantly.
